About Negative Supply

Negative Supply is a world leader in analog film digitization for stills, and we create tools to help labs, artists, and archivists preserve film, ranging from small 110, through 8x10 and other large formats for distribution or safekeeping on digital mediums. We have also recently launched our newest product, the LM1, a digital light meter for both cinematographers and photographers. With this new product, we are expanding our team to include positions focusing on embedded systems and software development. We are a company focused on the individual contributions of our team, and ongoing innovation. Our Product Design team, while small, has a focus on user experience and functionality. We focus on being creative, and always enjoy hacking together MVP style prototypes to test functionality when possible.

*Expected start date to be early to mid 2022. If interested, please reach out so that we can begin interviews and answer any questions you may have.

Summary

In this role, you will work directly with the Product Design team to create embedded software solutions that provide defined functionality given a set of user constraints. You will also use your skills in prototyping to create PCB layouts, and rough prototypes, while using our engineering and design team as a resource along the way. With these prototypes, you will work to develop usage and reliability tests, and manage software iterations and improvements. Once a product is out of the prototype stage, you will work with the production team to plan product launches by helping with costing, sourcing, and planning.
